This project is focused on the main research areas related to the generation of hydrogen in a decentralized way, for its use in freight trucks. Together with Carbotainer, six other companies and six research organizations will improve the degree of development of multiple technologies.

Funded by CDTI (Center for Industrial Technological Development) within its “Missions” program, the project has been chosen within the mission “Sustainable and intelligent mobility” and will look for solutions in the hydrogen value chain in mobility , which today present a lower degree of development, which will allow the performance of this type of integral solutions to be improved in the future.

Carbotainer, will be in charge of the design and manufacture of the minimum viable prototypes capable of storing hydrogen safely and reliably, @ light-Tank, drastically reducing the weight of the tanks and adding a sense of "smartization" to the cylinders. The main objective of this digitization is to be able to detect the failure early and thus improve the safety of the vehicle as a whole. With this project, Carbotainer keeps on showing its commitment to the energy transition and the hydrogen storage sector for more sustainable management and mobility.
